Please join us for a screening and discussion of Social Equity Explained, an animated video series where you'll hear from individuals on how the prohibition of cannabis has impacted their lives and how they plan to show up in the burgeoning cannabis industry. The goal of this series is to illustrate the challenges within the legalized cannabis industry and the solutions presented through social equity.

This video series, powered by Curaleaf’s Rooted in Good initiative, features voices from Corvain Cooper, Wanda James, Khadijah Tribble, Mackenzie Manns, Courtney Davis, and Alvin McElveen. Topics include:

  • Racial and gender inequities in ownership

  • Collateral consequences

  • Social equity and fair practices

  • Policy gaps

  • Allyship

The screening will be followed by a fireside chat led by Khadijah Tribble, Senior Vice President of Curaleaf and Founder of Marijuana Matters, followed by networking and light bites on the patio.
