The M2 Holiday Lineup: Our Favorite Cannabis Products

If you’re anything like me, you’re still shopping for holiday gifts, mainly because you want to choose something meaningful and enjoyable for your loved ones.

Here’s a gift idea that’ll work for anyone in your family: cannabis!

If you’re thinking, “That’d be great for my bestie, but not my grandma (the one who calls weed devil’s lettuce),” think again!

The world of weed has expanded dramatically, fam. You can enjoy luxurious cannabis products with or without getting high (and support minority-owned and socially-equity-focused brands while you do it).

Take a look at the list below for some of our staff’s favorite THC and non-intoxicating cannabis picks:

Squeeze by Select (Khadijah Tribble, Marijuana Matters Founder)

Many cannabis enthusiasts prefer to ingest rather than inhale their medicine, but traditional edibles can take up to two hours to kick in. Enter Select Squeeze, M2 Founder Khadijah Tribble’s favorite cannabis product.

“I love that it’s easy to use and discreet,” Khadijah said. “It helps me not have to disclose my cannabis use if I don’t want to. Perfect brunch buddy!”

Squeeze is a fast-acting beverage enhancer containing 5mg THC available nationwide at your favorite cannabis dispensary. You can get it in Lemon Lime, Watermelon, Strawberry Lemonade, or Hint of Sweet.

The Lady Holder by Elevate Jane and Rolling Papers by Bouqué (Courtney Davis, Executive Director)

Women (including mothers) smoke weed, y’all.

In fact, we make an ideal demographic for cannabis brands because we’re more likely to experience recurring pain and discomfort (thank you, reproductive system), more willing to explore self-care, and more in control of our household’s spending power.

M2 Executive Director Courtney Davis knows this professionally and personally, so her cannabis favorites are all about normalizing women and minority weed use.

“Elevate Jane is a women-owned brand that aims to destigmatize smoking cannabis through their elegantly designed glass pieces. I love the femininity and classiness that the Lady Holder represents. It's also a functional work of art,” Courtney said.

“This holder coupled with the best hemp rolling papers on the market right now from Rolling Bouqé makes me feel very sophisticated.”

“Supporting minority-owned local brands is the essence of Marijuana Matters and a form of community reinvestment,” Courtney continued.

“I truly care about the DC community, a place I've called home for the past ten years, and I look forward to the day when Black and Brown businesses across the DMV are participating in this industry and generating wealth for their community.”

Restore CBD Oil Drops by Hempure and Natural CBD Moisturizer by Öl (Andrea Rigoli, Operations Manager)

CBD tinctures (sometimes called drops) are non-intoxicating options for anyone who wants to enjoy the benefits of CBD.

That’s why Andrea Rigoli, M2 Operations Manager, fell in love with Hempure’s Restore CBD Oil Drops

“I was gifted this CBD oil about three years ago as a Xmas gift from the company I was working for, and I became obsessed,” Andrea said.

“I love that it has a peppermint flavor, so it’s easier for me to keep under my tongue for longer periods of time. I’ve gifted it to anyone interested.”

Andrea’s got another recommendation for those who want to experience Uruguay’s cannabis industry. She uses Öl’s Crema Hidrante Natural de Krill (natural moisturizer with CBD) for her skincare.

“After years of looking for a moisturizer that didn’t leave my skin feeling greasy, I found Öl products at one of the zero-waste stores I go to in Uruguay, where I’m from,” she said.

“This moisturizer is great to use after I’ve finished exfoliating because the CBD in it can soothe any redness that was caused by the exfoliating.”

Bouqué Glass Tips (Simona Wright-James, Head of Community Engagement)

Communal cannabis sharing is a joyful experience, but our post-COVID world requires “puff, puff, pass” rules to change.

That’s why Simona Wright-James, M2 Head of Community Engagement, loves Rolling Bouqué’s Glass Tips

“Before the pandemic, I would share without even thinking about germ-sharing because much of flower consumption is about communing,” Simona said.

“This has allowed me to continue in that community practice of sharing flower safely.”

CBD Tincture (Nicki Sneed, Managing Director)

CBD tinctures make our list again, which isn’t surprising given their therapeutic use and accessibility.

Like Andrea, M2 Managing Director Nicki Sneed uses CBD tincture as her favorite cannabis go-to.

“It helps me with anxiety and insomnia, especially on days when there's been high anxiety,” Nicki said.

CBD tinctures are great for first-time cannabis users. All they need to do is place the suggested dose beneath their tongues and relax! No flames, THC, or mess involved.

Heal Body Butter by Brown Girl Jane (Dianna Benjamin, Content Writer)

I’m a huge fan of CBD products, especially when they smell and feel delicious.

That’s why my favorite cannabis product is Heal Body Butter by Brown Girl Jane. As a runner with chronic inflammation in my left ankle, it’s a relief to massage Heal Body Butter into my skin after a tough workout or day spent on my feet.

Each four fl oz bottle of Heal Body Butter contains 500mg CBD. This thick but non-oily moisturizer is soothing for dry skin, non-intoxicating, and made with cruelty-free, vegan, broad-spectrum cannabis.

Start the Conversation About Social Equity With a Cannabis Gift

Truth is, a lot of people are still scared of weed.

That’s particularly true for Black and Latinx people who are disproportionately more likely to be targeted by cannabis criminalization (or know someone directly impacted by the war on drugs).

Sitting down with your aging mom and going through the racist history of weed prohibition can feel intimidating, exhausting, and confusing. But giving her a gorgeously wrapped CBD tincture, trying it with her, and answering her questions?

That’s one way to step into social equity allyship, promote self-care, and bond with mama all at the same time.

Happy holidays, M2 tribe!

Marijuana Matters is a social enterprise whose mission is to create pathways out of poverty for those most harmed by the war on drugs. Here’s how you can support our work.
